Welcome

Les Grands Coudrais is situated in the beautiful unspoilt countryside of Vienne in South West France. We have three gites, formerly old farm cottages.

Set in the quiet hamlet of Les Coudrais, just outside Civray, Les Grands Coudrais is the perfect base for you to discover this beautiful region. Surrounded by farmland, we are extremely fortunate to have wildlife all around us, birds of prey, pheasants, wild deer and, at certain times of the year, we are treated to the magnificent sight of the cranes leaving or returning to France, determining the start of spring and end of summer.
Take in the fields of sunflowers, visit traditional village markets, explore the many nearby Brocantes or attractions including Futuroscope and the Vallée des Singes or maybe try your hand at water sports, pony trekking or many other attractions available in the Vienne.
Alternatively, simply relax by the swimming pool in our 3 acres of grounds or enjoy a barbecue in your private garden – Les Grands Coudrais offers a holiday where everyone in the family can feel at home. Within the grounds you’ll find table tennis, badminton, boules and a children’s play area. Bicycles are also available and outdoor activities such as horse riding, canoeing and fishing are all nearby.

About us

Our Gites

We love to make you feel at home.

Our gites offer charm and ambiance, a little bit of France, and each one receives both French TV and English Freesat channels for those who like to keep up to date with their favourite programmes back home. Free Wifi also available.
We operate a non-smoking policy in all of our gites as well as the fenced pool area. Ashtrays are available for smoking in each of the gite gardens or when relaxing in the grange.
We also have a selection of family board games, DVDs and CDs for your indoor entertainment.
We look forward to welcoming you to Les Grands Coudrais.
